Enjoy a French twist on comfort food with Yves Quemarais' tomato recipe.

  • 1 puff pastry roll
  • 12 normal sized tomatoes
  • 50g fresh oregano
  • 10ml olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp sugar


Cut 4 circles of puff pastry each measuring 8 cm of diameter. Peel each tomato, chop them into quarters and scoop them out.

Add the seasonings (Salt, pepper, olive oil, paprika and sugar). Arrange the tomatoes in a circle mould by alternating with the oregano and finish with the puff pastry.

Cook for half an hour at 180°c in a preheated oven and remove from mould while still warm. Serve with cherry tomatoes.
