Cocktails in the City, the UK’s leading cocktail festival is returning to Leeds Town Hall for a celebration of the city’s world-class cocktail culture. 

Bringing together 20 of the city’s greatest bars reimagined in pop-up form, the event is billed as a cocktail lovers’ paradise with trendsetting new drinks being created exclusively for the event by Leeds leading bartenders.

Event experiences in 2020 include: 

  • 20 of the city’s greatest bars all together under one roof from five-star hotels to secret speakeasies
  • Enjoy champagne cocktails on the new Stylist Loves Laurent-Perrier Champagne Bar created by Leeds leading female bartenders. 
  • Blend your own gin with the new Leeds gin school and drinks laboratory Liquor Studio.
  • Award-winning food served up by House of Fu and hot new opening El Gato Negro.
  • A five-star takeover of the main stage delivered by Grantley Hall, one of the most luxurious hotel openings in 2019. 
  • Complimentary escape games delivered by Leeds most popular company, Escape Hunt.
  • Disco and soul upstairs delivered by Mr Paul Dunphy and live music courtesy of The Domino in the crypt below.
  • Interactive tasting journeys hosted by some of Leeds hidden gems, Poison Cocktail Lounge and Blind Tyger. A series of two fifteen-minute interactive masterclasses to discover the tastes and techniques of cocktail making in partnership with world-leading brands.

Stand experiences to look out for:

  • Discover a suitably stylish and tasteful apres-ski lodge hosted as a collaboration between Harvey Nichols Fourth Floor Bar and Jägermeister. From hot cocktails to ice-cold serves what will you go for.
  • Enjoy afternoon tea with Blackhouse as they deliver a range of very British drinks using a range of artisan teas in partnership with Slingsby including their newly released Marmalade Edition, rhubarb and gooseberry.
  • Descend into the Victorian cells to have your ailments cured in the Victoria Apothecary curated by The Maven in partnership with a new brand launch exclusive, The Sexton Irish Whiskey.
  • Futurize your cocktail drinking experience with augmented reality as Be At One showcase their new AI cocktails in partnership with Bombay Sapphire or get behind the bar and get your flair on.
  • Gather around Tabitha the copper pot for tastings and masterclasses or grab the headphones for a spot of silent disco as Belvedere invite you to discover the changing personalities of Jake’s Bar & Still Room at this year’s event.

From escape games to espresso martinis, après ski to high afternoon tea, Cocktails in the City is working closely with every participating bar to put on a unique drinking experience. 

Entry tickets start at £6.50 for entry only and cocktails on the evening are priced at £6.50.
