One of the worlds most prestigious breweries and one of Leeds’ newest have joined the line-up for this weekends Brewers Market. Brooklyn Brewery and Zapato both appear as partners joining BrewDog, Fourpure, Northern Monk Brew co, Five Points Liverpool Craft Beer, Wylam Brewery and Vertical Drinks plus many more.

The second instalment of Brewers Market, an event from the creative minds behind Canal Mills and festivals such as Garden Party, kicks off this Friday for two very special days. A festival celebrating a love of drink and food, with craft beer, wine, whisky and gin pop up bars plus a huge selection of street food, live art and music keeping the drink revellers entertained.

Canal Mills’ weekend beer festival returns for 2015 on November with a host of partners signed up including Fourpure Brewing Co, Five Points Brewing Co, Northern Monk Brew Co, Liverpool Craft Beer Co and more as the exciting line-up also takes in pop up bars by Tall Boys Beer Market and progressive breweries including Mikkeller, Firestone Walker and Odell Brewing Co. Fans of specialised cocktails and wine will be excited as The Hedonist Project will be taking care of the spirits with a pop-up Whisky and Gin bar and Latitude bring a huge wine selection.

Why not try something new as this year Canal Mills have teamed up with Northern Monk to produce a special beer with a tropical spin called MAI TAI IPA. Northern Monk Head Brewer Brian Dickson explains “Inspired by the rum cocktail of the same name we infused the beer with Orgeat (Almond) Syrup, Lime, Curacao Orange Peel and Cherry. The result reminded us of a Bakewell Tart if you’d infused the pastry with citrus fruit. There are big almond and cherry flavours up front followed by deep citrus led by the orange peel. Unusual but definitely works. One for marzipan fans!” It promises to be a fun, flavoursome beer that will be available all weekend at Brewers Market.

Representing Leeds’ trailblazing street food scene will be the superb Grub & Grog Shop from Holbeck, Leeds street food institution Fish &, Purveyors of serious mac & cheese The Mac Shac, the beloved Manjit’s Kitchen, Wood fired excellence from The Pizza Fella & Boozy Q BBQ, the latest offering from Sela Bar’s ever growing and impressive food offering.  Music forms an important part of Brewers Market and has been entrusted to a very talented line up including Eighty Six, Hide & Seek Records, Anthony Dobson, Body Language DJ’s, Tall Boys DJ’s and Alex & Amy Audio Chronicles, as well as live art from the talented resident artists of Assembly House, Alien Wolff, Bobby Abbey, John Pearson & Mike Winnard.

Tickets are on sale now, starting at £5 which includes a special Brewers Market Glassware and programme.  For more details visit www.facebook.com/events/1463174050646144/
