Thousands turned out in Leeds to enjoy some of the best food & drink Yorkshire has to offer at the free three day Yorkshire Post Food & Drink festival

The sun shone on the seventh The Yorkshire Post Food & Drink Festival in Millennium Square Leeds at the weekend.

Top chefs including MasterChef finalist Matt Healy, The Curry Guy Dan Toombs, Steph Moon, Ox Clubs Josh Whitehead and a host of chefs from Leeds City College and Jamie’s Ministry of Food wowed the crowd with their culinary delights.

 

 

For the hungry and thirsty there was something for everyone from across the globe from Thailand to Indian, Greece and Lebanon to name but a few.

 

 

 

 

Pimms flowed as did a range of artisan gins and beers in the array of bars.

 

 

 

 

 

In the Cookery School tents chefs from Malton Cookery School, Leeds City College and Ministry of Food gave masterclasses to the audience.

Chilli expert Frank Jay from the Chilli Shop in the Merrrion Centre organised an extreme eating challenge taken on by brace competitors and on Sunday he held his very popular chilli eating competition which saw volunteers eat some of the hottest chillis available on the market.
