Leeds restaurant Crafthouse is preparing an evening of fine food, whisky tasting and music to celebrate Burns Night.

For one night only tonight guests can enjoy a five-course tasting menu, prepared by Executive Head Chef Lee Murdoch, a selection of Scotch whiskies and the sounds of The City of Leeds Pipeband.

A welcome speech and The Selkirk Grace will precede the serving of a five-course taster menu, which includes highland game terrine, aged Scottish beef and the traditional haggis, neeps and tatties, and cock-a-leekie. Dessert is a modern take on Cranachan, with wild rice, whisky and heather.

Partnering with Crafthouse is Chivas Regal, who will educate and serve diners with a selection of fine Scotch whisky. Providing the evening’s soundtrack will be the bagpipes and drums of The City of Leeds Pipeband.

Lee Murdoch, Executive Head Chef at Crafthouse, said: “As a proud Scot, I’ve celebrated Burns Night for as long as I can remember, so putting this special evening together has been a pleasure. I’ve made unique twists to the traditional Burns supper, which I’m sure will give our diners an evening to remember.”

The tasting menu is priced at £65 per person, with optional wine pairing for £20, available for one night only on Monday 25th January: http://www.crafthouse-restaurant.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2015/11/Burns-night-2.pdf
