Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July sees Yorkshire chef James Martin and Aussie Masterchef, John Torode appear at The Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival

James Martin said, “I had a great time entertaining the crowd at the event in 2016 and I’m really excited about coming back this year”.

This year the event has moved venue to accommodate growing visitor numbers – around 15,000 are expected to attend the event and taste culinary delights from the 250+ traders, street food and artisan producers.

Nigel Brown and his Cookery Academy will be joining the festival line-up to give visitors free cooking workshops and over 10 chefs have been brought in to show off their gastronomic recipes in our Local Chefs Cookery Theatre as spectators listen to where the food comes from, how to get the best out of your pots and pans and watch four chefs go head to head in a cook off without knowing the ingredients they have to use!

You will also get the chance to try craft beers and artisan sausages in the Beers and Bangers tent – plus have you ever fancied yourself as a bit of a Tom Cruise? Well you won’t want to miss the wizardry of our pro bartenders – mixing, making and shaking up some fantastic cocktails in the Spirits And Cocktail Theatre, making sure the party has most definitely started! If you are a wine and/or cheese lover – then our Wine And Cheese tent is definitely for you with wine pairing and cheese tasting for those who visit the informative talks.

It’s a weekend family event and there’s plenty for the children to do, from the Vintage Fun Fair and educational talks about birds of prey to a kids area full of fun activities to keep them occupied – the event has it all!

For the first time since the Festival’s conception, you can make a full weekend of it, as camping is offered at very reasonable rates, meaning you can enjoy the food and drink as well as taking in the rich heritage and great shopping of Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales if you wish to do so.

All this plus live music and entertainment makes The Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival the must go to Festival of 2017.
