Top chefs will descend on Harrogate this weekend for the Foodies Festival Christmas

Expect a fabulous festive feast as Foodies Festival Christmas transforms Harrogate’s International Centre into a culinary wonderland this weekend, bringing all your festive favourites, celebrity and top chefs, artisan producers and fine food and drink together under one roof.

And you can be in with a chance of winning a pair of VIP tickets or a pair of standard tickets to this foodie extravaganza. All you have to do is follow us on Twitter @foodyorkshire and retweet the competition post. It’s as simple as that.

The winner will be the two first correct entries chosen at random after the closing date of 5pm tomorrow December 9

Chefs Theatre 

GBBO winner Nadiya _ Cake & Bake TheatreWatch Bake-Off winner Nadiya whip up showstopping bakes and answers questions from the audience, and get inspiration and top tips from Yorkshire’s acclaimed chefs, including Murray Wilson from Norse and chef consultant Stephanie Moon, as they cook their favourite winter recipes.  Artisan Christmas Market 

Shop for gifts and ingredients from 150 of the finest artisan producers selling cheeses, chutneys, chocolates, oils, sauces, biscuits and more; everything you need to make this Christmas extra special and tasty.

Drinks Theatre

Take a Christmas Gin Cocktail masterclass with Yorkshire’s small batch producers or learn how to match wines and festive flavours with wine experts Charles Metcalfe and Neil Philip. Pudding Hall and Street Food

Street FoodIndulge in all your festive favourites in the Pudding Hall – a sweet haven of mince pies, Christmas cake, candy canes, marzipan bonbons, chocolate yule log, shortbread and macaroons – and feast on festive hotdogs and gourmet burgers, Caribbean and Persian street food, and sugar and cinnamon churros.

 

 

 

 

Cake & Bake Theatre

Bake Naughty and Nice Edible Christmas Gifts, learn how to make Christmas Confectionary and create Chocolate Centrepieces with baking expert Fiona Sciolti. Chocoholics will love Cocoa Sniffing masterclasses with David Greenwood Haigh of Coeur de Xocolat, and there’s vegan and vegetarian baking classes with Great Vegan Bake Off winner Katy Beskow and ITV’s Food Glorious Food winner Rahila Hussain. Ski Bar and Elfs Cookery School

While parents shop and enjoy a warm glass of mulled wine and spiced cider or a chilled glass of bubbly from the Champagne Ski Bar, children under 12 can enrol in the Elf Cookery School and decorate cookies and gingerbread to leave out for Santa. 

Live Music and Entertainment

Just like Christmas day there is lots of post-feasting fun to be had with live music, local choirs singing carols and the Chilly-Eating Competition (the winter version of the famous chilli contest).

Friday adult day ticket £10.00 / £8.00 concession

Saturday or Sunday adult day ticket £13.00 / £11.00 concession

3-day adult ticket £20.00 / £16.00 concession

Friday VIP ticket £35.00 / Saturday or Sunday VIP ticket £38.00

VIP tickets include a welcome glass of bubbly, access to the VIP lounge with private bar and refreshments throughout the day, priority entry to food and drink masterclasses, a festive goody bag and a showguide.

All children aged 12 and under go free to Foodies Festival Christmas when accompanied by an adult.

What is included with my ticket? 

Tickets include one day entry to the festival and free admission to food and drink masterclasses in The Chefs Theatre, Drinks Theatre, Cake & Bake Theatre and Elfs Cookery Theatre (subject to availability). There is live music provided throughout the day from The Entertainment Stage and samples available across the festival.

How do I pay for things? 

Cash is accepted and some stalls accept cards. The festival does not operate a token/crown system.
