he North Yorkshire market town of Malton is soon to welcome its 8th annual Malton Food Lover’s Festival

Attracting thousands of visitors to Malton over the weekend, the Festival is well regarded as one of the most prestigious food festivals in the UK.

Dubbed ‘Yorkshire’s Food Capital’ by esteemed chef Antonio Carluccio, Malton’s annual Food Lovers Festival has grown significantly from just 1,500 visitors in its first year to being one of the biggest food festival in the north, attracting some of the finest foodie talent in the country.

Among the 2016 festival line-up is celebrity chef Rosemary Shrager, returning to Malton for a 3rd year to host an exclusive cookery tutorial, a live demonstration and a Q&A session.

With over a decade on our TV screens, Rosemary endeared herself to the nation when she took part in I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here where she proved she could cook just about anything, anywhere.  Her new show The Chopping Block begins on ITV1 on 11 April.

Rosemary said; “What I love about Malton is the atmosphere, it’s passion for food and the incredible location. I jumped at the opportunity to come back this year and really can’t wait!”

A jam-packed programme of events and activity will ensure there is something for the whole family across the weekend from chef demonstrations by celebrity chefs and Yorkshire’s finest local talent, talks and tastings, stalls and street food, a dedicated children’s zone, vintage fun fair, festival bar with live music and a new Festival Party. The festival is free to enter with both free and ticketed events.
