Yorkshire's six Michelin starred chefs retained their stars for another year maintaining the county as having the most Michelin-starred restaurants outside London.

The Michelin guide 2018 was published yesterday and revealed that Yorkshire remains at the top of the fine dining scene.

Those retaining theit one stars were

The Pipe and Glass at Beverely

The Star at Harome

Box Tree, Ilkley

Man Behind the Curtain, Leeds

The Black Swan, Oldstead

Former Devonshire Arms head chef Adam Smith received a Michelin star for Restaurant Coworth Park in Ascot.

In addition two new Yorkshire restaurants were award a Bib Gourmand which  indicates a restaurant offering good food at moderate prices.

They were

Skosh in York and Joro Restaurant in Sheffield
