A Harrogate store and cafe that stocks only local produce has recently fitted a take away restaurant next to the shop.
The store, Fodder, has given an original 1960s Airstream a new lease of life and the new take away option offers a range of menu choices from coffee to chicken burgers.
The new addition to the store which is based at the Great Yorkshire Showground has been called ‘Fodder on the Hoof’.
Fodder chefs will be serving up quality regional produce with a frequently changing menu to reflect the seasons.
The varied menu will include staples such as bacon and sausage sandwiches through to courgette and chick pea burgers plus Caesar salads and even Posh Dogs.
Keeping with the American airstream theme there will also be Milkshakes made with  Yorkshire milk and ice cream.
Heather Parry, Managing Director said: “Fodder’s success in the first few years has been remarkable and proves how many people actively chose to support our local farmers and eat quality, local produce.

” ‘Fodder on the Hoof’ will cater for the current surge of ‘grazing’ and eating on the run.

“It will be open all day with a varied seasonal menu.

“It is a nice add on; once customers have done their shopping they can have a tasty coffee or bacon sandwich on the way out – making shopping an even tastier experience than before!”

Fodder continues to support the Harrogate Homeless Project by giving them all the food that is good enough to eat but not good enough to sell.

All the profits that Fodder generates, support the work of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, a registered charity.
