Exhibitors at Beverley Food Festival and members of the East Yorkshire Local Food Network (EYLFN) who wish to enter the Beverley Food Festival and EYLFN awards have until Friday 31 July to submit their nominations.

Beverley Town Council’s Food Festival’s food awards, which started 10 years’ ago, combined with the East Yorkshire Local Food Network awards for the first time last year to create a bumper awards with 19 categories.

The winners will be announced at an awards supper at Tickton Grange on Tuesday 22 September.

The initiative is a collaboration between Beverley Town Council, East Riding Council and East Yorkshire Local Food Network and is being supported by headline sponsors Needlers and Jackson’s Champion Yorkshire Bread and category sponsors including Rollits, William’s Farm Kitchen and three60 marketing and press relations.

Nominations for the awards are invited from any business with a presence at the 2015 Beverley Food Festival and from any member of the East Yorkshire Local Food Network.

David Nowell, executive chef at Tickton Grange, is the chair of judges that include several local food lovers.

Mr Nowell said: “The food festival itself is a real highlight in the East Yorkshire food and drink calendar and this year, with the awards being presented two weeks before the festival, visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to celebrate the very best East Yorkshire food and drink with us.”
