The award winning Ferndale Coffee Shop is celebrating National Afternoon Tea Week 10th-16th August by adding some extra sparkle in the shape of their first Prosecco Gardener’s Tea.

“Afternoon tea is an immensely popular treat in Yorkshire, so we serve ours all day”, says Yorkshire Woman in Retail finalist Helen Watson, Ferndale’s Director of Catering.

“That all important element of scones with cream and preserves is perhaps the biggest draw, with our customers consuming an astonishing 30,000+ freshly made scones annually, and that was before we recently extended the coffee shop.”

“We are now licensed so we thought we would have a double celebration. What better way to celebrate friendship during the nation’s annual Afternoon Tea Week than by sitting down to our famous home-made quiche, fresh seasonal sandwiches and a selection of miniature cakes lovingly created by our talented pastry chef, all accompanied by bottomless filter ‘Pollard’s Special’ coffee and house tea blend – and a mini bottle of Prosecco?

The Prosecco Gardener’s Afternoon Tea is available 9am to 4.30 pm at £13 per person or £24 for two. The traditional afternoon tea is £8 each or two for £14.

Ferndale coffee shop is open from 9am-5pm Monday – Saturday and 10.30am-4.30pm on Sundays with free parking. Most food and drink is available to takeaway.
