Takeaways are set to become revolutionised in Yorkshire with the emergence of Deliveroo, a new fine dining delivery service.

Forget late-night kebabs and greasy pizza. Deliveroo is a brand new online service for Leeds and Headingley, which works with the city’s best restaurants to deliver their food to the living room, office or anywhere else a customer may be.

The service, which originates in London, was set up in 2013 by investment professional Will Shu as a response to the lack of quality food available while working late in the capital.

With just a few clicks, the customer’s favourite restaurant dish can be at their front door courtesy of Deliveroo’s friendly scooter network in an average time of 32 minutes. Deliveroo delivers to customers with restaurants within a 2.2km distance radius and currently operate in Headingley and Leeds city centre. You simply need to put your postcode into www.deliveroo.co.uk to find out if you are in the zone.

A wide variety of restaurants have already signed up in Leeds, including Red’s True Barbecue, Gaucho, MEATliquor, Carluccio, Chino Latino, My Thai, The Olive Tree among many more who have also signed up to the Deliveroo network in Leeds.

Deliveroo’s mission statement is to bring you meals from high-quality restaurants with a transparent, speedy delivery service and courteous, friendly drivers for an unparalleled customer service. Their aim is to eliminate the usual go-to takeaway dishes and replace them with high quality cuisine.

Harry Tyndall, Deliveroo’s Market Launch Manager said: “Deliveroo are incredibly excited about launching in Leeds and changing the Yorkshire eating habits. Since studying here at university a few years ago, the food market in Leeds has boomed and the wide variety of cuisines and restaurants available only make for an exciting city to work in.”
