Prestige de Calvet Bordeaux, France, 13%, Sainsbury down from £7.50 down to £6.50 until 1 January

A classic Bordeaux wine with cassis fruit and a leafy edge. Certainly worth its full price, so a genuine bargain now.

 

Vintage Cava 2015, Spain, 12%, Marks and Spencer, down from £15 to £10 until 31 December

Up-market cava with notes of crunchy apple, pears and a touch of toast.
