Ethical food company looking for public's help to expand

Bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to Yorkshire is in the inventive work of Jonathan and Katie with their range of Savvy Spreads. They have found their own niche in the food market by providing an innovative and ethical product. The recipes the spreads are based on have been used throughout the Mediterranean for hundreds of years and use all natural products. The origins of one of the main ingredients, carob, can be traced back to ancient Greece and Egypt where they used the plant as a source of food.
Savvy Spreads come in a range of varieties with more flavours planned for the future. Currently on offer include Date & Sesame, Chocolate & Carob and Honey. These spreads contain no oil or refined sugar which makes them a healthy alternative. This family business was launched in 2013 and the company has gone from strength to strength and they were the winners of Best Sweet Preserve at Yorkshire Post/Deliciouslyorkshire Taste Awards 2014.
The time has now come where Savvy Spreads want to expand and are looking for the public’s help in doing so. The aim is to let you own a piece of the business through a crowd funding venture. They would like to raise £100,000 and they hope that the return for any investors will be 300% in the next 3-5 years for those. This money will be used to support sales in the UK and overseas and to develop a range of additional products.
The fundraising begins on 29th June 2015 for 45 days via the website crowd cube – www.crowdcube.com. More information can be found on their website, www.savvyspreads.com/invest
