Local artisian ice cream producer has been recognised by the Great Taste Awards

Yummy Yorkshire Ice Cream company has been awarded four coveted Great Taste Awards.

The Great Taste Awards are highly regarded and are seen to be the acknowledged benchmark for fine food and drink, with only 31% of entries being accredited. Each product can be awarded with one, two or three gold stars.

The awards presented include a two Star Gold Award for the companies Black Treacle and Amaretti Biscuit Ice Cream. The judges referred to the ice cream as ‘beautifully made’ with a ‘great balance of flavours on a supreme creamy base.’

The company were also recognised for three other unique flavours of ice cream, being: Salted Honey & Caramel, Figgy Pudding, and Brown Butter. Each of which achieved a 1 star Gold Award.

Yummy Yorkshire is a family run business at Delph House Farm in West Yorkshire. They produce all their ice cream using fresh milk from the farm’s 150 Friesian Holstein herd.

The company has been established for seven years by Jeremy and Louise Jones and they aim to make high quality, new and quirky flavours of ice cream..

Their ice cream is available on site of the farm in the Yummy Yorkshire Ice Cream Parlour where visitors can enjoy a range of flavours. Within the parlour breakfast and brunch is also available.

The winning flavours can be picked up in local delis, farm shops and reputable food outlets across Yorkshire. One of these is Fodder in Harrogate.

The ice cream can be bought in various sizes being sold in 500ml tubs or 4.5l catering tubs.
