Speaking about the event, festival director Sue Hitchen said: “We are delighted to bring Foodies Festival to Yorkshire this summer, showcasing the region’s natural larder of quality produce and abundance of local producers in our Producers Market. With over 200 artisan producers to shop from, with a Deliciously Yorkshire section, visitors will be spoilt for choice with samples and for what to buy to take home and enjoy.”

This year’s festival will include a barbecue arena, Champagne and Craft Beer Theatre and a Street Food Avenue, as well as masterclasses in a variety of food-related subjects such as beekeeping, foraging, cake baking and even chocolate sniffing.

The family event will also include cookery workshops for the little ones, stalls, drinks and cocktails in addition to live music.
