Foodies will flock to Leeds for the free three day the Yorkshire Post Food and Drink Festival 2017 which is now in its seventh year.

More than 100 exhibitors will be showcasing the region’s finest food and drink at the event in Millennium Square in Leeds on June 2 to 4.
Three days of foodie demonstrations from some of Yorkshire’s finest chefs, coupled with some of the best regional food and drink producers is on offer in the free event held in the centre of Leeds.
Last year’s event saw thousands of food lovers flock to Millennium Square and this year looks set to be even bigger and better. It is the seventh year the event has been staged, and it will include some old favourites such as the demonstration stage hosted by Yorkshire consultant chef Stephanie Moon.
Chefs sharing some of their culinary secrets include; MasterChef the professionals finalist Matt Healey, Debbie Raw from BBC’s Further Back in Time, Little Miss Meat Free, Steph Moon who will be joined by The Yorkshire Post wine writer Christine Austin and the Curry Guys Dan Toombs.
For the second year running, there will be the Cookery School Theatre featuring masterclasses from Jamie’s Ministry of Food, Malton Cookery School and Leeds City College.
There will also be Pimm’s and cocktail bar, street food vendors and attractions for all the family.
And the festival will once again be brought to a close with Frank Jay’s famous chilli-eating competition.

13:00 – 13:45 Afsaneh Kaviani – Pop up Persian restaurant in Leeds Former Master Chef Semi-finalist Afsaneh cooks a Persian Mezze
14:00 – 14:45 Tharavadu Head Chef Mr. Ajith Nair cooks up a lamb curry with an array of spices
15:00 – 15:45 Karen Smith and her team with Pupils from catering Leeds create some healthy food with the pupils for the school meals around and in Leeds.
16:00 – 16:45 Katy Beskow – Little Miss Meat Free – cooks two great dishes from her Amazon top seller 15 min Vegan Cookery book- followed by a book signing
17:00 – 17:45 Home – A brand new restaurant on the Leeds Scene – Liz Cottram former MasterChef Finalist and Mark Owens former Head Chef of The Box Tree create some dishes from their new menu
Saturday 3rd June

10:00 – 10:45 Debbie Raw-Malton cookery Assistant – As seen on TV “Further back in time for dinner ” was the TV programme Debbie starred in as the Servant Girl plucking pigeons  With Giles Corran. Debbie makes Seaweed Brownies from seaweed she foraged herself in Stathes
11:00 – 11:45 Ashley McCarthy and his son Ben- Ye Old Sun Inn cook up a three course pub classic meal
13:00 – 13:45 Andrew Thwaite – Master Chocolatier makes use some exciting chocolate dishes to indulge in!
14:00 – 14:45 Matt Healey – Executive Chef , Cranble

15:00 – 15:45 Christine Austin and Stephanie Moon – Yorkshire Post Wine Expert and Chef cook and pair food with wines
16:00 – 16:45 Gilly Robinson Chef tutor and assistant  Debbie Raw from Malton cookery school
17:00 – 17:45 Frank Jay – “ Extreme Food Challenge” – 8 contestants sit down for a meal to forget. We serve up things either not normally eaten in the UK, are very unusual or just plain challenging and wrong! The contestant who sit through and eats & drinks whatever we serve up and is voted the crowds favourite is the winner. 12:00 – 12:45 Simon Chappelow Ministry of Food  makes Pea and Herb risotto, jam jar dressing and green salad.
13:00 – 13:45 Dan Toombs – The Curry Guy  makes two great curries using one base sauce
14:00 – 14:45 Josh Whitehead – The Ox Club cooks up  a three course meal, Steak Tartar, Lamb Main course and a White Aero pudding
